Fatal motorcycle crash in Montgomery County

One man is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash in Montgomery County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

69-year-old Russell Burton was driving along Route 19, north of Tree Farm Road when a 77-year-old man driving a Volkswagen Jetta pulled out in front of him. Burton was driving a motorcycle at the time and hit the back of the Jetta, which then threw him off the bike.

Shortly after, Burton was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the report, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The other man driving the Jetta was not injured in the crash.
