QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should the state investigate a reporter who exposed security issues?
Gov. Mike Parson said Thursday that his administration will investigate a St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter who uncovered a security flaw in a state online database.
The reporter discovered Social Security numbers were easily accessed on an education department website. The paper reported the findings to the state before publishing the story.
However, Parson claims the paper's actions were politically motivated and potentially criminal.
