City: Drivers ignoring road closure signs
The city of Columbia public works says construction crews are reporting drivers ignoring road closure signs.
According to public works, crews working on the Southampton repair project have reported dozens of cars driving around “do not enter” signs.
Southampton is undergoing repairs from Providence to the roundabout connecting it with State Farm Parkway.
During the road repairs, Southampton is a one-way Eastbound during construction. State Farm Pkwy is a one-way Northbound from the roundabout to the entrance of the City of Columbia recycling drop off center.
The construction and closures are expected to last until about mid-June dependent on weather.
