Police: second suspect caught in armed robbery at student complex

ABC 17 News has confirmed a second person wanted for a December robbery at a student housing complex in south Columbia is now behind bars. Chad Dean just appeared in court this Thursday on the new charges. ABC 17 News has video of the scene.

Officers say Dean and another suspect, Koran Ward, broke into a home with guns at The Den off Grindstone Parkway December 9, escaping with cash and electronics. Four people were inside at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Ward has already been caught. He is the roommate of two MU basketball players, Jakeenan Gant and Russell Woods, who were suspended after a search warrant for Ward also uncovered marijuana pipes.
