Boone County deputies urge vigilance due to rash of burglaries

Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department are looking into a series of daytime burglaries since early January.

The burglaries have primarily happened on weekdays in rural and semi-rural areas. The thief or thieves are primarily stealing jewelry.

Deputies believe the same person or persons are behind the burglaries. The burglar or burglars typically get in by forcing their way through rear doors.

The burglaries have mostly happened at homes on the following roads:

– Route O

Route UU
Cedar Tree Lane
Highway NN
Low Crossing Road Route B Rolling Hills Road Richland Road Highway WW Brushwood Lake Road Country Woods Drive
