Truck versus semi crash backs up traffic on Interstate 70

Emergency crews responded to a pickup truck versus semi crash on Interstate 70 Eastbound Sunday.

The crash happened just after 12:00 p.m. near the West Boulevard exit in Columbia.

Crews shut down the eastbound passing lane, backing up traffic. Traffic was also delayed in the westbound direction. All lanes of I-70 Eastbound were reopened around 1:00 p.m.

One person was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Columbia police.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
