Woman drives wrong way on Hwy 63 with child in car, arrested

A woman was arrested early Saturday morning after leading law enforcement on a chase in Boone County.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department said Taneka Lewis was driving the wrong way on Highway 63 around 2 a.m. and wouldn’t pull over.

Deputies said Lewis had a small child in her car at the time.

She was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving, resisting arrest and child endangerment.

Lewis has since bonded out of the Boone County Jail.
