University of Missouri Homecoming festivities to kick off Sunday
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The University of Missouri is hosting its 110th Homecoming in 2021, with events set to kick off Sunday both on and off campus.
This year, the university is introducing a new tradition, a Homecoming Dome Lighting.
The lighting of Jesse Hall is set to begin at 7:15 p.m. Sunday evening, with live music and homecoming prizes set to be given away.
The Homecoming banner competition is also set to kick off Sunday, beginning at 5 p.m. and featuring student designed banners between Cornell and Strickland Halls.
Students and other volunteers will also hold its second and final day of, "Roaring for Rainbow House."
Members of Traditions Groupings will ask for donations from the community at local grocery stores and similar businesses in the Columbia community.
These volunteers will stand outside of assigned locations and request items from Rainbow House’s wish-list
and monetary donations.
The University of Missouri's website continues to update their homecoming page as more details are added to the two week celebration.
