Warm start to the weekend, shower & t-storm chance
We have a nice weekend to enjoy the outdoors in Mid-Missouri but it could be interrupted by a few showers and even rumbles of thunder late in the day Saturday and Saturday night.
The first half of the day Saturday looks nice with a few clouds and warming temperatures to near 70 by 2 PM. A few showers will start to develop south of I-70 as early as mid-afternoon near the Lake of the Ozarks and spread north through the evening as an area of low pressure moves across southern Missouri.
There will be enough instability to generate a few t-storms, mainly south of I-70 after 4 in the afternoon and through the evening but storms are not expected to be severe.
The rain moves to the east and out of Mid-Missouri by 3 AM Sunday. Rainfall amounts will come in at .10″ to .25 in most areas south of HWY 24 with pockets of up to .50″ possible east of HWY 63. Some areas north of I-70 could be missed by the showers.
Sunday will be a bit cooler with a northerly breeze and partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will reach near 60.
