Emergency crews responded to several reported accidents on roads across Boone County Monday morning.

The first happened on Highway 124 east of Harrisburg shortly before 7:30 a.m. when one vehicle hit a patch of ice and collided with a second vehicle. There were no serious injuries in that crash, but eastbound traffic was blocked.

There was also a rollover accident also on Highway 124 west of Harrisburg. Boone County responded to that accident. One adult and one child were in the rollover but were not injured.

A third accident happened Route J south of Harrisburg, and on Prathersville Road north of Columbia.

Boone County Fire says they responded to about four or five total crashes similar to these. They said they were not aware of any injuries from the accidents. They say slick, icy roads is the likely cause of the accident.
