Tracking one last warm afternoon
TODAY: We'll have plenty of sunshine to start off the day, but clouds will be on the increase this afternoon. An isolated shower can't be ruled out, but most of us look to stay dry. Highs will top out in the upper 80's.
TONIGHT: That slight chance for some rain will spill over into tonight. Again, most of us look to avoid the raindrops as temperatures fall into the middle 60's.
EXTENDED: Showers and storms should be a little easier to find on Thursday. The morning commute will likely be dry, with showers and storms filling in during the afternoon and evening. Those look to back off overnight, leading to a dry start to Friday. An isolated shower can't be ruled out during the day to end the week, but more is on the way late Friday into Saturday. Our next, and possibly last, push of widespread showers and storms will move in late Saturday into Sunday morning. Lingering showers could stay with us throughout the day on Sunday, but we're not expecting anything heavy. By the time this weekend wraps up, most areas will pick up a much-needed inch-plus of rain. It will also help cool temperatures off into the low 80's Thursday and Friday, into the 70's this weekend.
