KMIZ

BYRNES MILL, Mo. (AP) — Authorities say a late-night car crash in eastern Missouri killed a 17-year-old girl and left four other teens with serious injuries. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the crash happened around 1:45 a.m. Sunday near the city of Byrnes Mill in Jefferson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a car traveling north on a county road went off the road and slid into a tree and a utility pole. Investigators say a 17-year-old Cedar Hill girl who was a passenger in the car died at the scene. Officials say the car’s driver — a different 17-year-old Cedar Hill girl — was injured along with two 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old boy.
