Mizzou offense previews matchup with Boston College
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou football team is coming into its first-ever game against Boston College 2-1 after a commanding win over Southeast Missouri State.
The MU offense took advantage of its week three FCS matchup by putting up more than 650 yards of total offense. Before sitting out in the second half, starting quarterback Connor Bazelak threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns. Overall, he finished with the most first half passing yards since Drew Lock in 2017.
After the matchup with the Redhawks, running back Tyler Badie is just 39 receiving yards away from becoming the first Tiger to ever record 1,000 career rushing and receiving yards.
However, other offensive players added that the matchup was an even bigger opportunity for younger players to get reps and gain confidence.
"It was good to get everyone out on the field, but also the guys that were on that road trip to Kentucky," wide receiver Barrett Banister said. "That was a tough loss. I thought we fought hard and it was nice to get back on our feet."
Mizzou is in search of its first non-conference road win since Sept. 15, 2018 at Purdue.
