Concerned Student 1950 to be honored at NAACP awards

MU’s Concerned Student 1950 which sparked protests nationwide will be honored at this year’s NAACP Image Awards airing next months on TV 1.

Organizers said the hunger strike and football team boycott proved effective at forcing resignations by top leaders.

In the past, they’ve honored former Attorney General Eric Holder and then-Senator Barack Obama.
