Woman arrested for threatening boyfriend with a gun

A Columbia woman was arrested Wednesday after she apparently threatened her boyfriend with a gun.

29-year-old Yashika Renicks got in a fight with her boyfriend while inside a parked car in the 700 block of Bon Gor Court shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Court documents said Renicks pointed a gun at her boyfriend while he was in the passenger seat. He attempted to push the gun away and get out of the car, but Renicks grabbed him by the arm and tried to pull him back into the car.

The victim was able to get out of the car even after Renicks pointed the gun at him again.

Renicks then fired a shot into the air out of the driver
‘s side window while the car was parked.

Renicks was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon.
