Second man charged in fatal shooting at Springfield store

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — The Greene County prosecutor has filed charges against a second suspect in a shooting death at a Springfield convenience store. Twenty-four-year-old Cody Westmoreland is charged with second-degree murder and three other counts. Prosecutors allege he was involved in the death of 49-year-old Jason Masters on Aug. 13. Police found Masters suffering from gunshot wounds in a truck outside the convenience store and he died later at a hospital. Another man, 22-year-old Garrett Austion Eagle, also is charged with second-degree murder in Masters’ death. Investigators said the shooting occurred over money that Masters owed,
