Tracking a warm start to the week

WARMER
KMIZ

MONDAY: Another warm one to start off a new week. Highs will top out around 90 again with a southwestern breeze keeping things stirred up. We’ll pick up a few high clouds this afternoon, but nothing serious.

TONIGHT: Other than a few clouds, we’re quiet overnight. Lows will only bottom out near 70.

EXTENDED: It’s warm again on Tuesday, with that breeze picking up slightly. A cold front is inching closer to us by the afternoon and will light up a few storms around 3-5 PM. Some of these could have their act together and produce some gusty winds or some hail, but the threat looks pretty isolated. The rain will stick with us overnight before dwindling during the day Wednesday. The leftover clouds should help keep us close to 80 in the afternoon. Temperatures pick back up after that to finish the week. We’re in the middle 80’s Thursday, warming to the low 90’s by Sunday.
