Tracking a hot and dry weekend

Tonight: Temperatures stay well above average heading off into the overnight hours with winds continuing out of the southwest at 8-12 mph. The overnight low drops to 70 degrees.

Tomorrow: Temperatures continue to increase to a high of 94 as the humidity slowly starts to increase making it feel muggier outside. There will be mostly sunny skies with winds continuing out of the southwest.

Extended: A high-pressure system sits over the Central United States until we near Tuesday of next week where a cold front moves through Central Missouri. This cold front will increase the chances for showers and storms on Tuesday and Wednesday with the main threats being brief downpours and some lighting. Temperatures will cool to a high of 82 on Wednesday but slowly rebound to the upper '80s Thursday and Friday with another dry high-pressure system swinging through the area.
