Tracking more isolated showers this evening, heavy rain possible tonight

FEW SHOWERS
KMIZ

TONIGHT: More isolated showers and storms will be possible this evening. The coverage will fill in overnight, with a few rumbles of thunder expected. We’ll pick up another 1-2” of rain, with the highest amounts in west-central parts of the state. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Pettis, Benton, and Morgan counties until 7:00 PM Saturday, with isolated flooding possible.

SATURDAY: Those showers and storms will be with us tomorrow morning. We’ll keep them around through the mid-late afternoon hours before pushing them east. Tailgates will likely be wet, but the heaviest weather should push east by kickoff. Highs will top out near 80.

EXTENDED: Once we get the rain out, we’re sitting pretty for the rest of the holiday weekend. Highs will only top out in the low 80’s Sunday before warming into the upper 80’s on Labor Day. It’ll stay a bit warm Tuesday as we head back to work, but we’re tracking our next front Tuesday night. It will pass through dry, but will push highs back into the lower 80’s for Wednesday and Thursday. We’re bouncing back into the upper 80’s towards next weekend.
