Tracking scattered showers and a dry Labor Day

Today: Showers are beginning to die out with mostly cloudy skies keeping us in the '70s. Temperatures will continue to rise to 78 degrees for the high with more chances of scattered showers and storms this afternoon.

Tonight: Scattered showers become more widespread late this evening ahead of an approaching cold front. The overnight low drops to 66 degrees with calm winds.

Extended: An approaching cold front leads to widespread showers Saturday morning with cooling temperatures. By mid-day on Saturday, the cold front will pass pushing showers to the east, leading to drier afternoon and evening conditions. The rest of Labor Day weekend looks dry with highs in the mid to upper '80s. Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week sitting in the lower '90s, but then temperatures fall back to the lower '80s with winds shifting out of the north.
