Tracking storms Tuesday, cooler temperatures mid-week
TONIGHT: Storms become spotty and diminish completely by around midnight or before. Lows in the upper 60s with patchy fog by morning.
TOMORROW: Fog possible early, followed by storms with heavy rain by mid-late morning. Storms are more likely in areas along and north of I-70. Highs in the mid-80s.
EXTENDED: Storms across the southern half of Mid-Missouri will hold on through this evening, but become a bit more spotty as we lose daylight. Patchy fog develops through tomorrow morning, then our focus for the day will turn to a complex of storms that is expected to develop to our northwest. That could move in by mid-late morning through areas mainly along and north of I-70. Rain amounts could add up to about 0.5" to 1" with that system and it looks to clear out by early evening. Mid-week looks amazing after the hot weather we had last week. High pressure builds in from the north, bringing our temperatures into the low to mid-80s and in the low 60s at night. A weak front comes through Friday night into Saturday, bringing a chance for a few spotty showers or storms. From there, we heat up a bit for the weekend but remain dry with highs in the upper 80s through Labor Day.
