Tracking a return to the upper 90’s one more time
FRIDAY: We’re going to get hot again this afternoon. Highs will top out in the upper 90’s with a heat index approaching the familiar 105 neighborhood. A few of us might get lucky enough to pick up a shower this afternoon again. Coverage will be widely isolated, however.
TONIGHT: Anything up and going this afternoon will again fizzle after sunset. Lows will make their way toward the middle 70’s.
EXTENDED: Our ridge responsible for all of this hot weather will start to slide east this weekend. That will take the core of the hottest weather with it, so we won’t be quite as hot as we’ve been. Highs will still make it into the middle 90’s Saturday, and low 90’s Sunday. A frontal boundary will approach the area and stall out on Sunday. That will bring rounds of showers and storms back late Sunday through Tuesday. There still looks like plenty of dry time between rounds. Details on timing right now are a little murky but it looks like there will be enough action to keep us in the upper 80’s for highs next week.
