Two teens hospitalized after rollover crash on Hwy. 124 north of Columbia

ABC 17 News confirmed more details about a rollover crash reported Tuesday morning on Highway 124, about 25 minutes north of Columbia. The state highway patrol said Carl Shaver, 16, lost control and slid off the side of the road, hitting an embankment before overturning.

Nine units, including ambulances and the Boone County Fire Protection District, responded around 9:47 a.m. Tuesday.

Shaver was already out of the car when crews arrived, but Brandy Wadtananussorn, 15, had to be cut out of the passenger seat. She was awake and taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The scene was a few miles east of Harrisburg, off Highway 63.
