CPD investigating multiple burglaries in Springdale Estates neighborhood

Columbia police are investigating multiple burglaries in the Springdale Estates neighborhood in north Columbia.

Police responded to three burglaries in the 2400 block of Thornberry Drive early Monday morning within a three hour window.

Columbia police said the first call came out just after 3:30 a.m. Credit cards, money and prescription medications were reported stolen from the home.

Police said the suspect or suspects got into the home through a window.

Less than a half hour later, police responded to the same block for a second burglary. Officers said the suspect or suspects unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry into the home through a window.

Nothing was reported stolen from that home.

Just after 6:00 a.m., police responded to the same block for a third burglary. Officers said electronics and other accessories were taken from the home.

Police said the burglars got into the third home through an unlocked sliding glass door.
