Road work to close part of a major Jefferson City route
Road work could slow traffic slightly in Jefferson City starting Monday.
One westbound lane of the Highway 50/63 bypass in Jefferson City will be close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for work on the Lafayette Street Interchange project.
One lane will be open at the bypass at all times.
Workers will pave the westbound lane and will set girders on the new westbound 50/63 bridge over Lafayette St.
The work is taking place as part of the Lafayette St. interchange project, a 2 year, $20.3 million project that includes building a new interchange.
