Deaths of woman, daughter near Columbia considered homicides

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — The Boone County Sheriff’s Department says it is investigating the deaths of a woman and her young daughter. The department says 43-year-old Allison Abitz and her 11-year-old daughter, Jozee Abitz, were found dead Sunday night at a home just south of Columbia. The deaths are being investigated as homicides. The sheriff’s department says no suspects have been arrested. No further information has been released.
