Cars and homes damaged by gunfire in Columbia overnight

At 1:15 Sunday morning, Columbia Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Rangeline Street for reports of shots fired in the Colonial Village Mobile Home Park.

Officers found multiple shell casings in the area. They also found at least three cars and three homes believed to be hit by bullets.

No injuries were reported.

Witnesses told police they saw two men running from the area after the shots were fired and took off in a tan car.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers at (573)875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
