Columbia police investigating burned out car in Cosmo Park
Columbia police are investigating after a burned out car was discovered in Cosmo Park.
Columbia police say they were dispatched to Cosmo Recreation Area Park at about 8:40Monday morningin reference to recover property.
Someone apparently called reporting a burned car in a lot near the soccerfields.
TheColumbia Fire Department is also investigating the incident.Columbia Fire Department Assistant Chief BradFraizer saysthe vehicle sustained heavy damage and was destroyed.
A viewer called ABC 17 News Tuesday saying the vehicle belonged to her. She says her1997 Honda Accord was stolen Sunday night on Donnelly Avenue.She also says she has reported the stolen car to CPD. The viewer does not want to be identified.
Columbia police have not confirmed the car was stolen.
