Cooler weather moves in Friday

Showers will move out of Mid-Missouri by mid-morning Friday, leaving us with clearing skies and cooler weather. If you will be watching high school football Friday evening, you might want to take a jacket or sweatshirt. Temperatures will cool into the upper 50s by the end of the games under mostly clear skies. The northerly breeze will decrease to near 10 mph during the evening hours.

We won’t get close to a record low Friday night but we will be chilly as low temperatures drop into the upper 40s which is 10 degrees below average. The record low for the morning of September 12th is 39 set back in 1902.
