More than 1,000 lose power in west Columbia
ABC 17 News confirmed at least 1,223 lost power Monday in west Columbia.
Columbia Water & Light says the outages happened shortly before noon on Monday near the mall and West Broadway. The affected areas cover homes near Cosmo Park and neighborhoods west of Stadium.
The department said they currently have a stuck breaker, but crews are out trying to re-route electricity to customers who are still in the dark. They are also working to find out the exact cause of the problem.
