Severe Threat Shifts South for Tuesday
As a surface boundary that is draped over the Great Plains descends into Missouri, it will bring with it a chance for severe weather for Monday and Tuesday.
On Saturday, the Storm Prediction Center issued a “Marginal” risk for severe weather for our most northern counties for Monday, with the main threat being damaging winds.
This risk will continue into Tuesday. On Tuesday, however, the Storm Prediction Center shifts this risk to the south, where it encompasses our entire viewing area. The thunderstorms that are expected to develop Tuesday may produce strong winds and even have the potential of producing large hail.
Currently, there is no severe threat issued for Wednesday of next week. To keep up to date on the latest severe weather potential, follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter or like the ABC17 News page on Facebook.
