Chase, car crash and fight in neighborhood near Jefferson City
Just before 9:00 Thursday evening, a routine traffic stop in Westview Heights outside of Jefferson City turned into a foot chase.
The suspect was pulled over on Collier Court, and that’s when authorities realized he had a warrant out for his arrest.
About half a dozen Cole County deputies were called to the scene to assist in the chase.
During that incident, there was a car accident involving two cars just one block away in the 1500 block of Starlite Drive.
That accident resulted in a fight where one man was transported by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries.
As of 10:00 p.m. Thursday, the suspect from the foot chase was still at large.
