Chamois man federally charged for making meth, having two bombs

A Chamois man faces federal charges for making meth and having two explosives.

22-year-old Zachary Reed was charged in a two-count indictment on July 15.

The indictment was unsealed on Tuesday after Reed was arrested and made an initial court appearance.

Reed is charged with making meth in Osage County in September 2014.

Reed allegedly had a bomb labeled “fragmenting grenade” and another labeled “concession grenade.”

Court documents said the two bombs contained rusty nails.

The two bombs and a meth lab were taken by authorities after searching Reed’s house.

Reed is in federal custody pending a detention hearing that has not yet been set.
