DNR, state geologist investigating water leak in Miller Co.

ABC 17 News has learned Tuesday the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the state geologist are investigating the source of a water leak in Iberia.

A viewer told ABC 17 News there has been a water leak in her front yard at 315 Walnut St. in Iberia for 8 years and it is coming from underground.

The woman told ABC 17 there is a foul odor and children often fall down on the water, causing a safety issue.

Senator Mike Kehoe, State Representative Rocky Miller from Tuscumbia, and the Miller County Sheriff are investigating.

Senator Kehoe’s office contacted DNR, and the office was told by DNR that the state geologist will travel to the woman’s house to view the leak.
