Sluggish, Lingering Front Brings Slight Chance for Rain
There is a cold front moving southeastward – at a rather slow pace – that will bring a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms for mainly our southeastern counties tonight. The main chance for rain is before 2AM for areas south and along I-44.
As we head into Sunday morning, this already sluggish front is expected to “stall out” and become stationary. Because it will linger over our region for Sunday and provide some lift in our atmosphere, we have another slight chance for showers near the Lake of the Ozarks for Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. These showers should be scattered and short in duration.
As the front disintegrates, the rain should clear out by Sunday night, leaving us with a mostly sunny Monday!
