Few showers, storms possible Fri- Sat

A weak cold front will move across Mid-Missouri Friday night and Saturday bringing a slight chance of showers and t-storms. A line of showers is forecast to move across northern Missouri Friday morning, bringing a slight rain chance mainly to areas north of I-70.

Clouds will break up as we head into the afternoon with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the lower 80s. Most areas will stay dry for high school football games Friday evening. A few showers or t-storms are possible after 9pm west of HWY 63 but most will hold off until overnight.

Newest forecast data shows the cold front moving slower and near HWY 54 Saturday afternoon. This could cause a few storms to pop up which would be very spotty. The best chance is along and east of HWY 54 through late Saturday afternoon. At this time, no severe storms are expected.
