Construction to begin on three I-70 bridges in Columbia

Columbia drivers should expect delays starting on Interstate 70 Monday morning.

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will begin work on three interstate bridges in the city at Business Loop 70, Garth Avenue and Rangeline Street.

Drivers should expect lane closures on I-70 westbound and Rangeline throughout the week. Sidewalks along Rangeline near the bridge will also be closed for several months.

The $18 million project is expected to be completed by October 2016.
