IKEA, Ambient Weather and American SportsWorks recalls products

IKEA has recalled the Patrull Nightlight because it poses an electrical shock hazard.

Nearly 400,000 nightlights have been recalled. The lights come in white, orange and pink. They automatically turn on in the dark.

No accidents have been reported in the United States, however there was one reported in Austria where a child suffered minor wounds on the hand.
IKEA is asking customers to immediately stop using and unplug the product.

An off road utility vehicle is also being recalled in the United States. American SportsWorks has recalled it. The hazard is the throttle and it can fail and return to idle causing the rider to lose control.

The recall is for the 6 models of American SportsWorks four wheel off-road utility vehicles. The Bull Dog 300, Chuck Wagon 300 and the Landmaster 300. For a full list visit their website by clicking here.

Ambient Weather has recalled some of their weather radios because they are catching fire. The weather radio’s AC power adapter can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

The company has gotten three reports of fire and smoke in the back battery area of the weather radios and no injuries have been reported.

Consumers are asked to call Ambient Weather for a free replacement of the AC power adapters.
