One person detained following chase in Columbia

One person was detained Friday following a police chase in Columbia.

It started shortly before 5:30 p.m. near Rice Road and ended on Stevenday Drive just before 6 p.m.

The person taken into custody was apparently wanted for outstanding warrants.

We have crews on the scene.
