Wanted felon leads police on chase in Randolph County

Saturday, a man is in jail after leading police on a chase in Randolph County.

Moberly police said they got a tip wanted felon David Asher, 34, was driving on Rollins Street around 4:00 p.m. Asher was wanted for receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and more.

Officers tried stopping Asher, who refused to pull over and led police on a chase out of the city. Asher got out of his car and ran into a field near Route M and County Road 2730.

Randolph County deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers helped arrest Asher. Police said no one was hurt.
