Two arrested for child endangerment after child is found unresponsive in pool

Two people face child endangerment charges after a two-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a private pool in Keytesville on Monday night.

The girl was taken to a hospital in Columbia and is still in critical condition.

The girl’s mother, 19-year-old Kynzie Patino and her step father, 21-year-old Jesse Patino were both arrested for endangering the welfare of a child.

Kynzie is being held in the Boone County Jail, and Jessie is being held in the Chariton County Jail.

The Chariton County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
