Columbia woman no longer facing murder charges in death of infant

A Columbia woman is no longer facing murder charges in the death of her child.

Anna Steele now faces charges of child abuse or neglect.

Stelle allegedly allowed her then-boyfriend Cody Baker to take care of her child early last year, even though she believe Baker had abused her.

The baby died in February 2014. Investigators said she was hit in the head with a blunt object.

Baker pleaded not guilty to murder in Boone County court last May.
