Hermann police arrest woman for killing roommate

Hermann police have identified the victim in Friday’s homicide as Marion Gerloff, 64. Authorities found Gerloff dead inside her home.

Police have charged her roommate, Karen Brinkley, 54, with second degree murder after members of the patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control were called to the homicide scene. She was taken into custody without incident.

Brinkley is being held at the Crawford County Jail and her bond has been set at $500,000 cash.

Authorities will not release the cause of death until an autopsy of Gerloff is complete.
