Woman rescued after car gets stuck in high water

A driver in Boone County is safe after her car got stuck in high water early Tuesday.

Boone County emergency crews were called to a water rescue on Route E at around 4:30 a.m. Firefighters were able to get the woman in the car to safety within 25 minutes. She was not hurt.

MoDot crews were also called in to shut down the road due to flooding. At least half a dozen other roads around Boone County have also been closed due to high water.
