Slight severe threat Sunday

After a dry day Saturday storm chances will return to end the weekend. A cold front will approach Missouri by Sunday morning and move through Sunday evening. A few isolated storms ahead of the front will be possible north of I-70 during the morning. The better chance of storms will come during the afternoon as thunderstorms develop along the front as it moves into Mid-Missouri. Scattered thunderstorms will last into the evening, but start to move out overnight.

As storms develop along the front some storms could become strong to severe. The main risks will be damaging winds in excess of 60 mph or large hail. An isolated tornado can not be ruled out at this time, but the risk is low.For additional weather updates, follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
