Driver killed in Boone County crash

A Columbia man died in a crash near Rocheport Wednesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brian Hopson was driving on Route J between I-70 and Highway 40 when his car went off the road, hit a culvert and flipped onto its side. Hopson, 49, died at the scene.

The crash closed Route J for around two hours.
