Hot & humid this week

The work week will start off hot and humid as a gusty southwesterly wind pushes in warm and moist air. High temperatures Monday through Wednesday will reach into the 90s before rain chances cool temperatures slightly by Thursday. The humidity will make it feel much worse outside though. The heat index, what it feels like when humidity is factored in, will be near 100 Monday and Wednesday. The heat index will stay at least in the 90s throughout the work week, even after temperatures drop into the 80s Thursday and Friday.

During the hottest hours of the day it’s important to take caution during outdoor activities. Avoid any strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon, wear loose fitting clothing, and stay hydrated. During the hottest hours of the day (usually between 2pm-4pm) try to find shade if you’re outside.
