Two teens arrested after police chase onto football field in stolen car

Two teens are in custody following a police chase with a stolen car. A blue Honda CRV was last seen around midnight and first reported missing 7:45 Wednesday morning near Hirth and Ash in central Columbia.

Just before 11 that night, officers saw the same vehicle near Wilkes and Sixth Street.

When they tried pulling it over, the driver took off, crashing into a fire hydrant and fence poles, before driving onto the football field at Hickman High School.

Five people jumped from the CRV, and police found of them after using search dogs.

Jaron Gates, 18, was near the pool building. A 16- year-old was also take into juvenile custody after getting treatment at a hospital.
