Man sentenced to 15 years in deadly Columbia home invasion

A man was sentenced to fifteen years in prison in connection to a deadly robbery Monday.

Darrius Edwards plead guilty to charges in connection to a deadly April 2014 robbery in April earlier this year. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for second-degree felony murder. The prosecution asked for 15 years. Edwards will have to serve 85 percent of his sentence.

Edwards is one of three men charge in a home invasion that left one person dead. The burglary happened last year off West Texas Avenue in Columbia. She’aun Prince, another one of the men, was sentenced June 8th.
