Storms bring some damage, flooded roads

Strong storms moving through Mid-Missouri left some damage behind Sunday night. A tree fell onto a mobile home in Renick, a town south of Moberly in Randolph County. No injuries were reported.

As of 11 a.m. Monday, several roads are closed because of high water: Highway 87 just west of Highway 5 in Howard County and Route H in Howard County, Route D in Randolph County, Highway 179 near Sandy Hook in Moniteau County, Smith Hatchery Road, Easley River Road, Route E at Twin Bridges, Rippeto Road from Acton to Route N, Mount Zion Church Road between Hague and Hecht roads, and two sections of Hartsburg Bottom Road in Boone County.

Parts of Mexico, Mo., saw over 4″ of rain overnight, putting several places under water including some local baseball and softball fields.
